Unity Ceremony

  • 70 photos for sale Buy a Photo
  • Unity Ceremony on December 28, 2014 with Community and Church leaders. The event will culminate with the signing of a Pledge between the Sheriff’s Office and the community, to recommit and further strengthen the professional and service bond between law enforcement and the citizens of our community. Sheriff Harris noted, “We are a public service agency and we work for and with the citizens of Spotsylvania County”. The Sheriff’s Office recently participated in a community town hall meeting held at the Germana Community College on November 10th. Sheriff Harris, along with church and community leaders continued the positive energy that was generated during that meeting and decided to go a step further in showing mutual support, respect and unity between our citizens and the Sheriff’s Office. Thus, the Sheriff’s and Community Unity Pledge was written and will be presented to the community on December 28th at 3:00pm, with a signing by the Sheriff, church and community leaders, representing the citizens of our county. The signing will be held on the steps of the old historic court house and the citizens of our county are invited and encouraged to attend.
